Sixty photographs by renowned US photographer and ethnographer Edward S. Curtis showcasing the cultures of Native Americans, North America’s original inhabitants, are set to go on show in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Sacred Legacy exhibition, organized by the US consulate in the city, will run from June 28 to July 12 at the HCMC General Science Library.
The images are printed in a variety of sizes and media reflecting the impact of the photographed individual or object. They capture the diverse cultural and geographic regions in which Curtis worked and studied, and illustrate his skill in portrait, landscape, still life, and ceremonial photography.
